Do Not Delay in seeking professional medical advice, if you have any concerns do not wait to call!

Basic DCI FIRST AID

  • Lie casualty down
  • Give 100% oxygen (by tight fitting mask)
  • Give non-alcoholic fluids (aim for 1 litre)
  • Keep casualty at a comfortable temperature
  • Keep under observation until evacuated (take notes)
  • Reassure patient and Buddy/ Buddies

DCI Common Symptoms

JOINT PAIN, NUMBNESS, ALTERED SENSATIONS, WEAKNESS, TINGLING IN EXTREMITIES, NAUSEA, LOSS OF BALANCE, SKIN RASH, VISUAL DISTURBANCE, UNDUE FATIGUE.
